The Kano State Environmental Planning and Protection Agency (KASEPPA)

Kano State Agency of environmental planning and protection (KASEPPA) is an agency of state government of Kano, Nigeria, which is responsible for environmental issues in the state. Responsibilities include urban planning, development control in urban centers, provision of equipment, infrastructure and services and other functions necessary for the healthy and orderly urban growth
KASEPPA is responsible for ensuring that public land is illegal not assigned to people, and destroyed illegally constructed buildings. The agency called on traditional leaders in the state for help to achieve this goal. The agency needs the GSM mobile phone operators to relocate the base stations that were ordered without authorization . KASSEPA is also responsible for supervision of road rehabilitation and construction of drainage
In a controversial decision in July 2001 KASEPPA 8:00 in the church was demolished in Kano city on the grounds that it fails to comply with environmental legislation.
The agency supports entrepreneurs who want to build and operate public services. KASEPPA assigned where the bathroom is to be built, provides construction plans and oversee construction. The agency also provides guidelines and strengthen health. The agency has set standards for building design and site selection. The aim is to protect groundwater against pollution and ensure a healthy environment.The agency helps to ensure that urban waste services and other sources is a good use by farmers, especially in the vicinity of the city of Kano
