Clear the Air (Hong Kong)

Cleaning the air (simplified Chinese: 争气 行动, Traditional Chinese: 争气 行动) is a voluntary organization which aims to reduce air pollution in Hong Kong. It was founded December 10, 1997 as a company under the Companies Act (Cap. 151). It is autonomous and is funded by membership dues and individual donations from members.

争气 means "struggle for air" and "meet the expectations of others."行动 means "action." Thus, the Chinese name of the air means that people should "act now - to fight for better air." "Take action now to meet the expectations of others," and
