The Department of Parks Canada (SNAP) (in French: The Society for Nature and Parks Canada (SNAP)) was founded in 1963 to help protect Canada's natural resources. Named in the Top 10 of the Canadian in 2007 , SNAP has a membership of about 15,000, and 13 chapters across Canada.
