Coastwatch Europe

Coastwatch Europe is a voluntary organization, which controls the coastal areas and wetlands in several European countries, campaigns for the improvement of environmental policy and the implementation of existing environmental legislation, and to hold public information sessions and seminars . Scope of activities of Coastwatch organizations in different countries vary, but all Member States participating in the annual litter survey and Coastwatch coastal pollution. Coastwatch Ireland, research has provided a strong relationship in a positive feedback plastic bag for payment within a year after its introduction , and the number of plastic bags per kilometer decreased to less than 10% compared to the level of 2001.
