Bird Protection Quebec (Protection des oiseaux du Québec)

Bird Protection Quebec (Quebec Protection of Birds) was founded in Montreal in 1917 and is the oldest organization of birders in Quebec.

BPQ there to save wild birds and the environment. With the support of partners, their ownership and management of nature reserves where wildlife can thrive, to support research on problems in birds and the environment, many projects to help the recovery of endangered species, and to perform the public service.

In fulfilling its mission, work to protect birds of Quebec under the "guiding principles" and values:

* Wildlife and birds, in particular, have an intrinsic value. Appreciate the value of beauty and grace of birds, how they live and what they can do

* It is vitally important for maintaining bird populations and their habitats

* Knowledge of birds, in particular scientific knowledge, is an important part of understanding the natural
